Will you be returning to face-to-face studio Pilates classes?

Yes, 100%! I am very excited to soon be returning to Baldock and Letchworth to teach face-to-face Pilates studio classes again very soon.

Following the birth of our newest arrival, I am taking a short break for maternity leave. In the interim I have organised my virtual Pilates studio to keep our local community and beyond moving. But I look forward to restarting the face-to-face sessions soon.

What equipment do I need?

Initially, I would recommend starting your Pilates memberships with the basic equipment and then building your home studio bit by bit. The basics include a Pilates mat you are comfortable with, 2 head cushions, and a block.

Once comfortable with your home practice I would include Pilates props such as TheraBand’s, light weights, Pilates stability balls, and a magic circle.  For recommendations and more information on the equipment used within the online membership click here.

I am new to Pilates. Where should I begin?

If you are new to Pilates, our Gentle Pilates, and Olistica Pilates: Beginner to Intermediate classes are a great place to begin your journey.

Are classes suitable during Pregnancy and post-natal women?

The online membership is not suitable for pre/post-natal women.

For those working through pregnancy or the post-natal period, I would recommend booking into a live session, a face-to-face class, or a 1:1 appointment where possible to allow for individual care and attention.

It is inadvisable to practice Pilates between 8 and 14 weeks of pregnancy, unless by special arrangement with your teacher. It is also recommended to wait until 6 weeks post-partum to start Pilates after birth. It is always most advisable to consult with your health care provider, doctor, or physician prior to engaging in any new exercise programme.
